Comments You See Here

I admit I don’t fully understand how the comments you see in the next column on the right work. WordPress used to ask for my approval before they published a comment, but now I see published comments that I have never approved. I don’t blame WordPress—it seems everybody out there is searching for some bug they can exploit, or it could simply be a sign of my failing memory. Most are harmless advertisements. (The latest was from an Indian woman advertising her bariatric surgery clinic.) Recently, I have discovered how I can open a comment, no matter how old, and disapprove it, essentially deleting it (you can’t). If you see one I may have overlooked, email me, and I will reevaluate it.

About Roger Walck

My reasons for writing this blog are spelled out in the posting of 10/1/2012, Montaigne's Essays. They are probably not what you think.
