I’ve Been Hacked!

Somebody hacked my email contact list, so you may have gotten a notice that I need money for my sister’s gall bladder operation. I don’t need money, and my sister died long ago. (She would need a lot more than a gall bladder operation after all these years. Besides, she would be on Medicare by now.)

The email has my name as the sender, but it did not come from me. I knew nothing about it until it was too late. I don’t know if I was hacked or Yahoo! was. (Yahoo! handles the email for Verizon.)

Any money you send will go to the hacker, and I cannot reimburse you.

But rest assured it has nothing to do with this blog and nothing to do with WordPress. It all came from my email contact list (that has addresses of our high school classmates plus many more). You should be able to continue to read this blog safely.

Thank you, those who responded. I was happy to know so many were ready to help.

My reasons for writing this blog are spelled out in the posting of 10/1/2012, Montaigne's Essays. They are probably not what you think.
