Benghazi Fans

When I log into my account for this blog to add a new posting, it shows me a rudimentary list of statistics.  One of the stats is the top hits from searches by you out there over the past week.  The consistent winner by far, more that all others combined, is always Benghazi by Candlelight (3/3/11).

That posting is about Beryl Markham’s amazing book West With the Night.  Markham was an early aviatrix of the 1930s, and Benghazi by Candlelight is the name of a chapter I had elaborated on.

Are there really that many Beryl Markham fans?  Of course not.  The hits are obviously from people searching for current information on the Benghazi rebels and who must be puzzled or sadly disappointed by ending up at my site aimed at people over fifty years past their high school days.

Now this posting has just added to their dismay, one more unwanted hit.  Sorry, guys.

About Roger Walck

My reasons for writing this blog are spelled out in the posting of 10/1/2012, Montaigne's Essays. They are probably not what you think.
