A recent medical article in the WSJ described how hearts can actually break. An extreme emotional event that releases high amounts of adrenaline can cause the left ventricle to change shape and result in a heart attack. This, according to the article, is mostly seen in post-menopausal women. (No comment.)
What are some of these emotional triggers? They list death of a spouse, taking a big loss at a casino, and, right up there with the others, being overwhelmed by new computer software. Whoa, I know that feeling! Be careful, ladies.
