Add Kohler to the list of companies who purposely insult their own customers.
In a current TV ad, a guy stepping out the front door of his apartment building sees an attractive lady plumber going in. He turns around, runs back to his apartment and frantically tries to clog his toilet by pouring in all sorts of debris—towels, cans, and plastic bottles. Unfortunately, his toilet is a Kohler that that flushes it all down.
The ad ends with him struggling with a bag of dirt as his wife (or at least a very committed partner) appears at the bathroom door with a very questioning look, as well she should.
So, Kohler, this is your typical customer? Devious, cheating, and incredibly stupid? Do you share the guy’s perception of working women plumbers as fair game for romantic liaisons? (“Put down your monkey-wrench, Baby. I’ll show you how I lay pipe.”) Continue this little drama for us and include the plumber’s husband. Let’s hear his reactions.
