Where Did They Go?

One of the interesting photos I got from Nancy Leith Musser in Ocean City is of our entire 7th grade class at the Highland Avenue School. (Which was once the high school.) Not only was it interesting for a picture of Miss Bender a whole six years younger than in our Lahian, but it shows so many classmates who quietly disappeared over our high school days. As each new school year started in September, some simply did not return. Good friends, of course, we sadly, even tearfully, missed, but most who we knew only casually disappeared unnoticed. I remember their names or faces, but when did they leave? Where did they go? There were no farewell parties.

Where are you now, Bob Bunting? Estelle Oles? Al McCone? G. Fliegelman? Al Allison? Fawn Ward? Ray Haegle? Barbara Underwood? (Actually, I know about Barbara. I saw her at Penn State and, for a long time, wondered where I knew her from.)

About Roger Walck

My reasons for writing this blog are spelled out in the posting of 10/1/2012, Montaigne's Essays. They are probably not what you think.
